DENVER– A significant winter storm is on the way for a large portion of Colorado Thanksgiving week. Driving will be nearly impossible on Tuesday morning across the Denver Metro Area.

Here’s a winter storm checklist to make sure you’re prepared ahead of the storm:

Snowstorm Facts:

Accumulation

  • 6-12 inches Denver and Front Range
  • 8-16 inches or more in Northern Colorado & Foothills = Bullseye

Travel

  • High impact to I-25 north from Fort Collins into Cheyenne
  • High impact to I-76 Northeastern Plains
  • DIA biggest impact: Midnight to 9 a.m. Tuesday

Temperatures

  • Falling from the 20s into the teens on Tuesday
