The tornado about 3:45 p.m. was just west of Hartsel on open land, the National Weather Service said. No damages or injuries were reported.
The storm that produced the tornado was part of the complex of thunderstorms that later dropped flooding rain in Teller County and in Manitou Springs.
This is Park County’s second tornado of the year. The last was near the Walton Pass Fire earlier this month.
This is the seventh recorded tornado for the county since 1950.
