DENVER — The weather can change so quickly in Colorado.

Snow is also in the forecast for the Front Range, as early as Sunday morning straight through Monday morning’s commute.

Winter Storm Warnings are still in effect through Sunday afternoon in the mountains. An additional foot snow is possible by Sunday night.

A note to back-country skiers and snowboarders: Avalanche Danger will be high this weekend with heavy snow and strong wind.

CDOT officials also anticipate backups alongI-70 in the mountains this weekend. Be prepared for winter driving conditions, traffic, and be sure to stock car with water, blackets, windshield wiper fluid and non-perishable food in case of an emergency.

After the storm clears Monday afternoon, warmer and drier weather are on the way for the rest of the week.
