DENVER -- The seasons are changing there could be snow in the city when a sharp cold front blasts into the region late Thursday night into Friday morning.

If it does snow in Denver, it will likely be part of a rain/snow mix. No accumulation is expected. The ground and temperatures are still too warm for that.

We stay in the cool 60s on Thursday as more rain and a few thunderstorms return during the afternoon.

The cold front Thursday night will crank up a cold wind.

That front will generate snow in the Colorado mountains, and we are expecting some of that snow to hit the foothills west of Denver.  There is also a chance that snow could mix with rain late Thursday night in the Denver metro area.

Sunshine will quickly return Friday afternoon, but temperatures will struggle in the 50s.  A dry and warming trend takes over for your weekend and early next week.

The Broncos vs. Chiefs game Sunday afternoon looks dry with some passing clouds, breezy conditions and temperatures in the 70s.
