Police have responded to Denver East High School for a shooting Tuesday, March 22 around 10 a.m.

Doherty High School will be closed for the rest of the day Wednesday and parents are asked to pick up students at the east lot after a deadly crash on Barnes Road involved a student.

FOX31's Carly Cassady is on scene and learned the initial call came in about a suspicious vehicle in the area at around 6:40 a.m. A person was slumped over inside the car, and that is when officers went to investigate.
