SAN FRANCISCO -- A San Francisco man has a Father's Day gift for his son after making an amazing catch Sunday. He hopes the ball becomes a treasured memory even thought it's not the one he caught.
Without skipping a beat, Rob Winner calmly reached up and caught a home run ball hit by the Rockies' Troy Tulowitzki while holding a baby in his arms.
"I was waiting, talking to Gary the usher and saw the ball got hit that way, then stepped up, reached up, caught it and went back to my seat," said Winner, a fire captain in San Rafael, Calif.
The Rockies completed the sweep, but because it was his first Father's Day, Tulowitzki asked for the ball.
"It's his first Father's Day, so he wanted the ball back, so I gave him the ball and he gave me an autographed ball for him," Winner said.
