DENVER, Colo. -- The legendary Harlem Globetrotters entertain and engage fans all over the world. They put on more than 200 shows in the span of 4 months.

Only about a dozen of women have ever played for the Harlem globetrotters and two of them grew up in Colorado. Fatima “TNT” Maddox who is in her fourth season with the Globetrotters played high school ball Mesa Ridge High School in Colorado Springs. Bridget Turner was a star at Hinkley High school before a Hall of Famer career with the Buffs and joining the Globies.

But as Kami Carmann explains, it's much more than just hi-jinks and hoops. The Globetrotters are all about the community impact and it’s no coincidence both ladies are dedicated to empowering
