DENVER — The Denver Nuggets’ mascot made an unforgettable and slightly horrifying entrance during Friday night’s home opener.
Nuggets fans were surprised when a lifeless Rocky was lowered onto center court, where he collapsed during the live broadcast.
Rocky was supposed to be lowered onto the court in a harness with the spotlight shining on him before the game, but instead had the wind knocked out of him, according to the Nuggets. The mascot was out for the remainder of the game.
Rocky tweeted that he was feeling much better Saturday, and that he hoped to return to the court soon:

The Nuggets lost to the Portland Trail Blazers 113-98.
