Sunday Broncos game to honor U.S. Armed Forces

DENVER — The Denver Broncos will recognize the United States Military throughout Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Sports Authority Field at Mile High as part of the team’s annual Salute to Service Game presented by USAA.

Led by the Air Force Academy Band, the halftime show will be dedicated to all of those who have served and U.S. Armed Forces currently stationed throughout the world.

Representatives from the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Colorado National Guard will all be present during the special halftime ceremony.

Joining the men and women of the Armed Forces on the field at halftime will be veterans who served during the Vietnam War, commemorating its 50th anniversary and reflecting with solemn reverence upon the valor of a generation that served with honor.

Servicemen and women of the Colorado National Guard will run out of the tunnel with Broncos players during pregame introductions.

12 p.m. Parking Lot C opens for early tailgating

1:30 p.m. All parking lots open

2:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. Mile High Monument opens

2:30 p.m. Mile High Mountain Village opens (access through Gate 4)

All-You-Can Eat Tailgate with 2-for-1 beer, prizes, visits from Miles the Mascot, alumni and cheerleaders. It is $20 a game pre-order prior to game day and $25 the day of the game. Entry to Mountain Village is only valid with a gameday ticket.

3:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Noble Energy Sports Legends Mall opens
Features special bar service from Bud Light Build a Bar and a pumpkin carver. Black Belly chef Hosea Rosenberg will serve as the celebrity chef. Former Broncos wide receiver Steve Watson will also be in attendance. NBC’s Sunday Night Football Bus will be parked in the southeast corner.

3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Counties Gateway Plaza
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will have the real costumes and props from the movie Suicide Squad. Fans will have the opportunity to see the wardrobe of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Joker, Boomerang, Katana and Killer Croc alongside the Joker’s car in addition to becoming a member of the Suicide Squad and experience SQUAD 360 on Gear VR.

3:30 p.m. Premium gates open

4:30 p.m. All stadium gates open

6 p.m. Pre-game entertainment begins, including:
Stampede Drumline
Denver Broncos Cheerleaders
Parade of Colors
Team Introductions
National Anthem

6:30 p.m. Kickoff
FIRST QUARTER BREAK Broncos Country Hero
First Lieutenant Leslie Kennedy will be recognized at this week’s Broncos Country Hero. Lieutenant Kennedy is a United States Army recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross for his heroism during the Vietnam War.

HALFTIME Salute to Service
Sunday’s halftime show is dedicated to all of those who have served and U.S. Armed Forces currently serving throughout the world.
