Estimated 1 million swarm downtown to salute Super Bowl champion Broncos

DENVER — More than 1 million people jammed into downtown Denver on Tuesday to celebrate the Broncos winning Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, officials said.

A free concert began at Civic Center Park at 10 a.m. featuring Funkiphino, 3OH!3, and Big Head Todd and The Monsters.

The parade kicked off at 17th and Wynkoop streets at noon, and players, Broncos officials and family members rode fire trucks from several metro-area departments down 17th to Broadway, south to 13th Avenue and east to Civic Center Park.

A rally for the team shortly after 1 p.m. amid a sea of orange-clad fans who lined the streets and jammed into the park.
