DENVER -- It’s official … the Denver Broncos are now "America’s Team."

It’s no wonder the home team is now finally catching on around the nation, with a Hall of Fame quarterback in the front office and a future Hall of Fame QB on the field.

“It’s about time!” said Rob Poultt. “They finally got it right!”

At Red Robin, on Bronco Double Sack Tuesday, if the team records two sacks, you get a 2-for-1 deal on Bronco Double Burgers. At Krispy Kreme, you get a dozen glazed donuts for $2.99 including taxes between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. And some gas stations give you free coffee between 6-9 a.m.

At the team store at the football stadium, shoppers from all over were buying Broncos gear while loving the fact that Denver tops the new Harris Poll.

“We are from Texas and we are Bronco fans,” one shopper who said she has to go home, so no names please. “I have the sticker for my car. It reads, #1 Fan!”

The Dallas Cowboys had been atop the poll for the past six years, but now the home team in Denver is on top. The New York Giants are No. 2, with Green Bay No. 3, Cowboys No. 4 and Steelers in at No. 5. The next five are Seattle, San Francisco, New England, Chicago and New Orleans Saints at No. 10.

Poll participants were also asked to forget about their favorite team when answering the question, "Who do you think will win the Super Bowl?" Seattle finished number one in that question and Denver was number 2.
