DENVER — Several thousand Bronco fans were invited to watch the team’s summer scrimmage at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Saturday night.

Admission was free and open to the public, and fans of all ages lined up outside the building to tailgate and share their excitement for scrimmage and the upcoming season.

Despite a more than 45 minute rain delay, the Broncos took the field just before 8 p.m. to do individual work and scrimmage on a wet and soggy field.

“”Let’s give the fans something to cheer about,” Broncos coach John Fox told the team.

Denver will then go on the road for the first preseason game in San Francisco Thursday night.
