DENVER — The Denver Broncos announced that they have signed rookie defensive tackle Sylvester Williams to the team on Thursday.
Williams was drafted by the Broncos in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft as the 28th overall pick.
The 24-year-old played college football at Coffeyville Community College, and started all 45 games at the University of North Carolina. Williams also earned honors as a first-team All-America and All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection.
The Missouri native played just one season at Jefferson City High School.
