LITTLETON, Colo. -- You could say Heritage High School has quite a heritage in football.

It has three Broncos players: Defensive tackle, Brad Henke, inside linebacker Marc Munford and punter Tom Rouen.

Not only does Heritage High have a connection with the former Broncos, but the guys have an emotional connection with the school.

“It’s a real special place because this is where it all started," Rouen said.

“There was an opportunity that was given to us as children growing up and you often overlook that when you’re a kid," Munford said.

Added Henke, now a successful and busy Hollywood film actor: "(Heritage) has great spirit. The kids were amazing today.”

These three amigos were back where it all began for them at the school.

All three brought a special gift that they presented, and what better venue than at the school’s pep rally. Each former Broncos player held in their hands a golden NFL official football.

“The NFL had a group that reached out to all the players that one point in time played in the Super Bowl and gave them the opportunity to present balls to their high school,” Munford said.

Henke, Munford and Rouen will say football games come and go.  But being true to your school lasts a lifetime.
