NIWOT, Colo.- The Buffs are going dancing.

For the first time in 50 years the University of Colorado will make back to back appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

CU was awarded the 10-seed. They will play 7-seed Illinois in Austin Texas on Friday at 2:40 MST.

Just two years ago, the Buffs held a similar watch party in Head Coach Tad Boyle’s living room. A party that quickly turned sour when the Buffs weren’t selected to the Tournament.

This time around, the CU players felt confident, but there were plenty of nerves.
