Rockies start season with 10-0 win in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — The Colorado Rockies came out swinging as the 2015 Major League Baseball season opened. The Rox on the road in Milwaukee won big 10-0.

Carlos Gonzales started with a double in the first inning and then Troy Tulowitzki wasted no time bringing him home with an RBI double.

After another double from Nolan Arenado, Corey Dickerson hit a 2-run homer and the Rockies took a 4-0 lead in the first.

Dickerson and Arenado each had four RBIs Monday. Tulowitzki and Gonzalez had the other two.

Rockies starting pitcher threw an excellent game. Kyle Kendrick went seven innings, struck out six and didn’t give up a run.

Colorado and the Brewers play again Tuesday night.

The Rockies’ home opener is Friday afternoon against the Chicago Cubs.
