HOUSTON — Former Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler was benched during Sunday’s Houston Texans’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The move came after Osweiler threw two interceptions in the second quarter. It was Osweiler’s fourth game this season with multiple interceptions.

Before his benching, in addition to the two interceptions, Osweiler completed just 6 of 11 passes for 48 yards.

Osweiler took over for an injured Peyton Manning last season. When Manning retired, many assumed it would be Osweiler’s job. But he jumped ship for a four-year, $72 million deal with the Texans, with $37 million guaranteed in the first two seasons.

Texans backup quarterback Tom Savage entered the game and immediately made a long pass to receiver Wendall Williams.

Not only did the crowd go nuts, but the internet went crazy with reactions after the benching.

The Texans (8-6) rallied to win the game and are in first place in the AFC South. But the Tennessee Titans (8-6) and Indianapolis Colts (7-7) could still win the division.
