A southern Colorado school wins first ever national title

PUEBLO, Colo. — The CSU-Pueblo Thunder-wolves have been rising in the ranks of their division 2 sport, football.

However, their football program was non existent from 1985 – 2007, until they brought back a former team quarterback.

The Thunderwolves beat Minnesota State University-Mankato on Saturday, with a score 13 -0.

This is the first division 2 shutout in a championship game since 1997.

The CSU-Pueblo coach, John Wristen  says, “I’m luckiest guy in the world.”
