KEYSTONE, Colo. — Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, the last ski resort open for the winter season, closed its slopes on Sunday.
On the last day over 2500 people came out to get in some late season turns. Some tested their skills at pond skimming at the ski area’s natural alpine pond, Lake Reveal.
The mountain received 338 inches of snowfall during its ski season, which ran for 237 days starting on October 17, 2014.
A-Basin’s final day of the season ran the lifts until 2:30 p.m.
The ski area will reopen for summer events starting July 2, including the Stage 2 finish of the USA Pro Challenge bike race on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
