DENVER — A new smartphone app can help find lost animals.

The app, Animal Help Now, helps people find veterinarians, wildlife rehabilitators, animal shelters and others during animal and wildlife-related emergencies.

Besides being used to help find a lost family pet, users and input information if they see animal abuse and neglect, encounter an injured animal or see an animal in danger.

Animal Help Now is based in Boulder and is a nonprofit.
