DENVER — Child abuse has been of top mind recently with the Adrian Peterson case. Now Colorado is offering courses to the thousands of people who are considered “mandatory reporters” of suspected child abuse.
Workers in dozens of professions are required by law to report suspected abuse or neglect, but many people don’t know if they are part of that group of if they ever received any training in what to look for.
The list includes people such as nurses, firefighters, teachers and clergy.
