Good Day Colorado is taking a look at your health decade by decade.  For many, that thirtieth birthday symbolizes a time to get a little more serious and lay the groundwork for attaining those big goals in life like planning for your family's future and your career.   Dr. Tracy Lippard of Kaiser Permanente says this is also a time to start having your health monitored on a more regular basis. She explains, “that's going to include things like a blood pressure check at least every couple of years, a cholesterol check every 5 years”.   Women should be screened for cervical cancer and the human papilloma virus.  Your doctor will  determine how often you need to be tested.  Doctors say as  you work toward your forties, eating a lean diet with  lots of fresh vegetables  and exercising at least 3 times a week  may be the best defense against having to eventually rely on an excessive amount of prescription drugs and even expensive skin care treatments.  Finding some Zen time is important as well.  Doctors say, maintain your hobbies  and remember to make time for yourself, no matter how busy things get.
