Cajun blue cheese burgers from Morton’s Denver

Get a hold of these ingredients and following these instructions to make Stuffed-Cajun Blue Cheese Burgers with Thick Sliced Smoke Bacon and Peppered Cream Cheese Spread.

  • 8 oz soften cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 each roasted red bell pepper
  • 2 lbs ground chuck beef
  • 8 oz blue cheese crumbles
  • 1 each egg
  • 1 tbsp table salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • To taste: Morton's Cajun spice
  • 4 each Brioche hamburger bun
  • Lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, whatever other condiments you like


  1. Roast and peel a red bell pepper and rough cut into small pieces
  2. Crack pepper corns (black, white red and green) and add to red peppers
  3. Mix soften cream cheese to pepper mix and set aside
  4. Place mix into food processor and blend until smoother
  5. Place ground chuck, egg, table salt and ground black pepper in a mixing bowl and mix by hand until all ingredients are incorporated
  6. Split mixture into 4 separate meat balls
  7. Flatten meat ball to create a pocket to place blue cheese in
  8. Close ball up and place on board
  9. Flatten meat ball with your hand to form a patty
  10. Sprinkle with Cajun spice and place on grill
  11. Cook to desired temperature
  12. Place bacon on a rack in a sheet pan and place in a 400-degree oven and cook until crisp
  13. Split and toast bun
  14. Spread cream cheese on top and bottom of toasted bun
  15. Adorn with desired condiments
  16. Add burger and top with 2 strips of bacon
