DENVER -- Want to see "perimeter-less pants," Chris Parente get put in a headlock and a really bad rendition of "Rocky Mountain High?"

If so, you're going to want to watch the segment above, as actor/comedian Kevin James and his mixed martial arts sensei Bas Rutten stopped by the set of our "Everyday" show Thursday morning.

James and Rutten were visiting to chat about James' new movie, "Here Comes the Boom."

In the film, James plays a biology teacher at a failing high school. When cutbacks threaten the school, he raises money by moonlighting as a mixed martial arts fighter. And the guy who trains him? That would be Rutten (the fighting legend is playing himself in the film).

The movie was a passion project, James said -- one that allowed him to relive his high school days. In all seriousness, James said there was a day when he was an "in-shape" jock, and a member of his school's football and wrestling teams.

In further seriousness, James said he has never stopped learning from his old high school teachers.

"Those people are continuing to shape the person I am today," James said. No, that was not a reference to his fluctuating waistline.

You're not going to want to miss some exclusive looks at the movie in the clip above. You're also going to want to check out James' responses to our pair of gifts: a Peyton Manning jersey and a case of Banquet Beer.

You might, however, want to fast forward through the karaoke segment. We apologize in advance to any and all living descendants of John Denver.
