Bones is a modern noodle bar that serves affordable dishes -- mixed with Asian influences and French techniques.
The little corner restaurant in Governor’s Park uses ingredients that are local and organic with a menu that changes regularly. Their dining room features has an open kitchen bar to give customers a sense of comfort about the food being served.
“We wanted guest to come in and have interaction with us, because you don’t typically get to interact with the person who is cooking your food," Executive Chef, Matthew Lewis said. "So if you can come and sit at our bar and talk to us, learn about our food, learn about different food that you've never seen before. I think it’s very innovative and very educational.”
Our writer, Annalisa had to try some of their popular items on the menu. First was their signature appetizer -- made-to-order steamed buns. For lunch, she had to try one of their specialty noddle bowls. She couldn't resist the ramen noodles with poached lobster mixed in a French butter-based sauce.
Annalisa made sure to save room for their only dessert, too -- a childhood classic, soft-serve ice cream.
