The Shining Stars Aspen Winter Games Program is an adaptive snowboard and skiing program held every year.  The kids get everything they need to hit the slopes, including one-on-one adaptive lessons.  More than 80% of kids are on active treatments for their illnesses, and they seemed to really enjoy the events, including this avalanche dog rescue demonstration.  They hope is that these kids feel empowered as they are able to accomplish things they may not have thought were possible.
