MOUNT EVEREST – Fort Collins resident Jim Davidson is back in basecamp after an acclimatization rotation higher on the mountain to Camp 1 (19,500ft) and 2 (21,000ft).

Jim is looking forward to some rest before heading back up the mountain for one last round of acclimatization to Camp 3 (~23,500ft).  Then, they’ll closely watch weather forecasts and plan out their summit attempt.

Jim attempted Everest two years ago but his climb was cancelled after an earthquake rocked Nepal and Mount Everest.

Mount Everest is the tallest mountain on Earth at 29,035ft.  For the very latest updates check out the Everest Blog by Alan Arnette.
