Crock Pot Football Foods

Chef Garrett Gooch from the Ritz Carlton Denver shows us how to make some football foods that are perfect for the crock pot.

Crockpot Lasagna

 

2 boxes of ready to bake lasagna sheets.

1 tub ricotta cheese

1 jar of tomato sauce (your favorite flavor)

2 green bell peppers -small dice

1 onion -small dice

1 lb of Italian sausage

1 (bag 16oz) mozzarella cheese

In crockpot first place a thin layer of tomato sauce on bottom.  Then line dish with lasagna sheets, add little 4 tbls of sauce, then layer with peppers and onion, cheese and sausage. Top with lasagna sheets again.  Repeat process until about 1 inch from top.  Place crockpot on low for 5-6 hours.  If you like you can also sauté both the peppers and onions prior to building the lasagna. You may also sauté the Italian sausage beforehand as well.  Serve with garlic bread. Enjoy!

 

Crockpot Chicken Wings

4-6 lbs of Fresh chicken wings (depends on size of crock pot)

1 pint (16oz) of your favorite buffalo hot sauce

1TBL butter

 

Place chicken wings in crockpot.  Cover with hot sauce and add butter.  Place on Low for 3-4 hours.  If using frozen wings 6-7 hours.  Once finished place on a sheet try and lightly base the wings with buffalo sauce and broil in oven for 3-5 minutes for a crispy finish.  Enjoy with your favorite side.

 

 

Crockpot Chicken Sliders

 

4-5 each boneless skinless chicken breast

1 pint (16oz) of your favorite buffalo hot sauce

1 pack of Dry ranch salad dressing mix

6-10 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls are best!)

 

Place the chicken in the crockpot, cover with ¾ of the bottle of buffalo sauce and half of the pack of ranch salad mix.  Cook on low for 5-7 hours depending on number of chicken breast you add.  Once finished shred chicken with a fork, add remainder of buffalo sauce and sprinkle ¼ pack of ranch on top.  Combine on slider rolls and top with blue cheese or ranch dressing.
