School is wrapping up and a lot of kids will be looking for summer jobs. There’s a new local app that can help with that, saving a lot of time for job seekers.  Its focus is on hourly wage earners, so it’s great for adults too. It’s called Strive. It’s free for your iphone or android and can also be found at

All you have to do is download the app. It’s based on a map. It finds your location and shows you the jobs near you. All you have to do is click on one to find out more and then you can automatically email the company.

You’re not required to put in any information unless you want to. If you do, employers can then search for you.

The creator of the app is based in Denver, so right now, that’s the focus. If you get your friends to sign up, the app will pay you $2 per friend.

Keith Bough is the Founder/CEO of Strive. He said it just makes sense to pay others to help him get the word out. “Why don’t I just enlist my users and pay them to sign up their friends, so rather than paying Google ad words, I’ll just pay the people I’m trying to help anyway.”

It’s free for people job hunting, but if you want to post a job, its $20.
