FOX31 Denver wins best newscast, anchor at CBA awards

DENVER — Channel 2’s sister station, FOX31 Denver, won several awards including best regularly scheduled newscast, best news anchor and best news series at the Colorado Broadcasters Association awards.

The CBA named Jeremy Hubbard as best anchor.

Hubbard also won awards in the category of best news series for our week-long series Assignment Afghanistan (produced with Noah Skinner and Joshua Maranhas) and best documentary for “Day of Infamy: A Return to Pearl Harbor” (with Sean Towle and Joshua Maranhas).

Mark Meredith’s coverage of the Black Forest fire won in the category of breaking news.

FOX31 also won the award for best regularly scheduled newscast for FOX31 Denver News at 9.
