DENVER — Aristea Brady is joining FOX31 Denver as an anchor/reporter, the station announced Friday.

Brady will be a familiar face to many in the Denver area.  She worked as a reporter and weekend morning anchor at KUSA several years ago before leaving for Minnesota.

She is a Colorado native who was born and raised in Englewood. Brady has a large extended family in Craig on the Western Slope, where they operate a ranch and where she spent summers herding cattle and sheep before pursuing her career in journalism.

For the past three years, Brady has been an anchor/reporter at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.

Before WCCO and KUSA, Brady held both morning and evening anchor positions at KTVX, the ABC affiliate in Salt Lake City. She also worked as a reporter at WKYT, the CBS affiliate in Lexington, while in college.

Brady is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where she doubled majored in broadcast journalism and legal studies.

She has won several Emmy awards for her reporting and anchoring in Salt Lake City and Minneapolis.

Brady starts next week.
