Woman stabbed in downtown Denver; suspect arrested

DENVER — A male suspect was arrested in connection with a stabbing in downtown Denver that left one person in a hospital Monday night, the Denver Police Department said.

Police said the female victim was attacked at 17th and Lawrence streets. A suspect in the attack was taken into custody about 7:45 p.m.

The woman was taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The names and ages of the victim and suspect were not released. What led to the stabbing is under investigation.
