Woman found stabbed in neck in Aurora parking lot who died is ID’d

AURORA, Colo. — A woman who was found stabbed in the neck in an Aurora parking lot late Sunday night who later died was identified Tuesday by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

Chelsea Marie Yasser, 21, was found at 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Burlington Coat Factory at 1200 S. Abilene St., near Interstate 225 and East Mississippi Avenue.

She was taken to a hospital with “multiple sharp force injuries,” the coroner’s office. She was pronounced dead 45 minutes later, the Aurora Police Department said.

Her death has been classified as a homicide by the coroner’s office.

No suspect information has been released by police.
