FOUNTAIN, Colo. — A woman was arrested in Fountain in connection with verbal threats made over a phone call to a Planned Parenthood in Denver on Tuesday.

54-year-old Fern Roberta Delise allegedly tried to call the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood facility on Tuesday, but due to it being closed, the call was re-routed to the Denver Office. Delise then allegedly made verbal threats directed at the Republican Party.

Specifically, Fountain Police say Delise stated “It is tempting to walk into a Republican Party meeting with her dead husband’s gun and just start shooting people.”

This alleged statement comes just shy of 2 weeks after a shooting at the Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs left three dead and several more injured.

A search warrant for Delise’s residence was obtained and executed which recovered firearm accessories and handgun ammunition; however, no firearms were recovered, Fountain Police say.

Delise has been arrested for menacing and booked into the El Paso County Correctional Facility.
