DENVER — The Cog fire near Craig was 100 percent contained Saturday evening, reported Bob Struble of the Routt County Office of Emergency Management. Mop-up was ongoing Sunday.

The blaze, which was reported about 1 p.m. on Saturday, burned about 1225 acres, Struble said.

No injuries or livestock fatalities were reported, though a handful of people were advised to be ready to leave.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation. Police believe the blaze started alongside Highway 40.
