LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. -- Evacuations were lifted for the Beartrap Fire on Thursday morning, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said.

The evacuation order was lifted at 8 a.m. for more than 100 homes in the Crystal Lakes area of Larimer County after the fire broke out 50 miles northwest of Fort Collins in the Red Feather Lakes area on Wednesday night.

The fire, which was caused by a transformer, had grown to about 20 acres by 10 p.m. and was 60 percent contained.

No structures have been damaged and firefighters from multiple agencies are working the fire. There are about 1,600 homes in the area and 131 automated emergency calls were made to the area.

An emergency shelter was opened at Livermore Community Church and 12 people stayed there overnight.
