Wheat Ridge bank robbed by masked suspect

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — A Bank of the West branch was robbed at gunpoint on Friday morning, the Wheat Ridge Police Department said.

Police are working with the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force to find the armed robber. The branch at 7575 W. 44th Ave. was robbed at 11 a.m., police said.

The male suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and a mask at the time of the robbery. Police said he drove off in a light-colored van.
