MORRISON, Colo. -- Four teenagers are safe after they were illegally climbing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Wednesday night.

It began about 8 p.m. when the teens quickly got into trouble while climbing, with two of them falling.

One of the teens fell to the ground and was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries. A second climber fell and became stuck on a ledge.

West Metro Fire Rescue crews had to perform a technical rope rescue to get to him, taking almost three hours.

They were able to bring him to safety about 11 p.m. and the boy walked to a waiting ambulance to be treated for minor injuries.

The other two teenagers were able to get down on their own and were not injured.

There is no word if the teens will face a fine or if they will have to pay for the cost of the rescue effort.
