DENVER -- From extreme heat, to extreme fires, Colorado and its residents are on an extreme weather ride.

And now with the drenching rain we're now receiving, just how are we holding up?

Dianne from Denver was asked if she was happy to see it rain, "Absolutely, yes!"  was her to the point answer.

With the rain turning the Denver metro area streets into a water ride, a different opinion was floated. "Driving wasn't so good because I was on 6th and Josephine and my car is really low to the ground and I couldn't see the little median to go right, so I ran over it a little bit," said a motorist.

"It gets a little tense sometimes I guess, where you double fist the wheel," added another.

Heather from Englewood decided to ride her motorcycle to work Monday, "I just hit a wall of rain. It was  a complete downpour," she said, still wet.

Coloradan's are a hearty lot, and were happy to see the heavens open up. "Absolutely.  I'd stay home all day if it meant we'd get a lot of rain. We needed it real bad." When asked if she planned on riding her motorcycle any more today, heather said, "yes, home and that's it."
