LONE TREE, Colo. -- It was a close call for a businessman on Tuesday afternoon after an SUV came crashing through a building.

The crash happened at Logic Integration (8224 Park Meadows Drive) about 1 p.m. No one was hurt in the crash.

Police said the woman driving the car accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake when she tried to park. She was cited for careless driving.

Security cameras caught the crash on tape. The video shows an employee sitting at his desk as the vehicle plows into the building. The vehicle missed hitting the man by about 2 feet.

“The desk actually came up and pushed me into the wall right behind me,” Byron Ashby said.

Logic Integration had to install a temporary plywood window to patch up the spot where the vehicle drove through. Police said there is no permanent structural damage.

“It’s definitely by the grace of God I’m standing here right now,” Ashby said.

He said he has not watched the security footage and does not plan to for a while.

“Everybody keeps telling me that it was relatively close. But I lived it once and to watch it again it’ll take a little bit of time,” he said.
