LITTLETON, Colo. — Volunteers at Colorado Fabrics finished tying 500 fleece blankets to donate to Denver Health patients Wednesday.

The project, which began in November, is called Healing the Body, Warming the Soul. Colorado Fabrics donated the fleece, while employees, customers and volunteers cut and tied the fabric to make the blankets.

Colorado Fabrics held the final blanket tying event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Volunteers from Kaiser Permanente came to Colorado Fabrics to join employees and customers in tying the last of the 500 blankets.

Blankets from the project will be given to patients at Denver Health, according to Colorado Fabrics.
