COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Four people are dead after a gunman attacked victims in a Colorado Springs neighborhood on Halloween morning.

The shootings happened around 9 a.m. Saturday near Shooks Run Trail as it goes over Platte Avenue. Witnesses say a man with a gun shot and killed a male bicyclist, then turned the gun on a home where two women were outside on the front porch.

Friends have identified Christy Galella as one of the two women killed. Police have not released the identities of any of the victims or the shooter.

“I still want to wake up,” Adrieanna Waldridge, who described Galella as her best friend told FOX 31. “She’s funny, has a great sense of humor. She’s kind hearted and cares.”

Community members held a candlelight vigil Sunday night to remember the lives lost. About a hundred people gathered near the home that was targeted.

“It feels random and for that reason it feels scary,” said a community pastor.

Galella’s family has started a fundraising page to help pay for the unexpected funeral costs.
