DENVER -- An Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War was beaten outside of his home in an attack that police say may be linked to a case of road rage.

It happened Sunday in the 3500 block of South Hillcrest Drive in the Southmoor neighborhood.

Neighbors say the suspect, an unknown man who appeared to be in his 20s, didn't take anything. Denver police confirmed Monday they were investigating the beating as a case of road rage.

The victim, a man in his 70s, was taken to the hospital. One neighbor said the man was at awake when paramedics took him away.
