The explosion was so strong that six nearby houses were damaged. North Metro Fire said the owner of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, and the fire was immediately put out near Lincoln Street and Garland Drive. That is just east of Interstate 25 and north of East 104th Avenue.
