AURORA, Colo. — A vacant restaurant caught fire in Aurora Tuesday afternoon sending smoke billowing into the air and shutting down at least one road.

The fire started around 2 p.m. at a former sports bar at E. Iliff Avenue and S. Peoria Street, reported the Aurora Sentinel.

Police closed the intersection while firefighters worked to control the blaze.

No injuries have been reported.

A fire department spokesman said investigators were on scene to look for a cause as soon as the fire was extinguished.
