BAYFIELD, Colo. -- Earlier this week a woman named Denise "Katt" Hess passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

Most of you have never heard of Hess before, but she's the woman who made Dylan Redwine a household name across Colorado (and the nation for the matter).

Denise's nickname was "Katt." She was an incredible woman who cared deeply about her family, friends, community and justice for Dylan Redwine.

Dylan Redwine was murdered back in 2012 while visiting his father in Bayfield in southwest Colorado. To this day a suspect has not been named, but Redwine's father, Mark Redwine, has been listed as a "person of interest" in the case.

Hess worked endlessly to get Redwine's name out there. Especially on social media.

To learn more about her, watch Kevin Torres' "Unique 2 Colorado" Report.
