Rocky Mountain National Park offers some great ranger-led tours.

Most are for beginners, but on the Grand Lake side of the park there is an intermediate snowshoe offered on Sundays at 1 p.m. through March 6. It is intermediate because of a 500-foot elevation gain on the hikes that change weekly.

Both the east and west side of RMNP offer beginner snowshoe hikes. All tours are free but you do need to make a reservation and have your own or rent snowshoes and poles. All tours are recommended for kids 8 and up.
