Since it is home of Colorado State University, Fort Collins is known as a college town. It also produces 70 percent of Colorado’s craft beer.

If you haven’t wandered through downtown Fort Collins you should.

With more than 84 restaurants and a wide variety of shops, it is a great place to get your holiday shopping done and enjoy some great food during your outing.

There are 23 well-preserved historic buildings in the downtown area. If you notice a resemblance to Disneyland’s Main Street U.S.A., there’s a reason. That main street was designed after Fort Collins.

I have three picks for spots to visit: 1) Old Town Spice Shop, 2) Big Al’s Burgers and Dogs, and 3) Sense of Place. Make a new tradition this holiday season and visit Fort Collins!
