Jennifer Broome hikes up Horsetooth Rock.
Horsetooth Rock is an unique geological feature in Fort Collins, that is a landmark in Northern Colorado. Horsetooth Mountain Open Space has 29 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding including the 5 miles round trip hike to top of Horsetooth Rock. It is a scramble to the top. Make sure you pack a jacket in your pack because it does get windy on top of Horsetooth Rock. It’s a moderately strenuous hike that rewards you with incredible views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins, Hidden Valley, and Longs Peak at the top.
