DENVER — Two men were arrested early Wednesday morning after a chase involving a carjacked vehicle, and officers confiscated two guns and a half-pound of methamphetamine, the Denver Police Department said.

Police spotted a vehicle that was reported stolen the night before about 1 a.m. Officers chased the vehicle during which the suspects threw a backpack that contained two guns out of the vehicle.

The vehicle turned into a condominium complex in the 2500 block of South Sheridan where the chase ended and the men were arrested.

Police said a half-pound of meth was found in the vehicle.
